Prometheus' Fire

Huge in understanding
The brother of shoulders stands
Defying couped ruling
With stealthy, giving hands.

A founder of thinking,
Of development he sings.
He pays for his doing:
Fire, a bird, and ring.

But woefully he's living
For man forgoes much thought.
With pain he doubles remembering
What his gift should have brought.

Man, upon receiving
His wonderful thing so bright,
Instead of further proceeding,
Only used it for light.
