Ties

Soon will he that place depart.
Leaving now will do to he
Harm that he himself has caused.
Ties he's tied to there will be
Stronger than he meant because
He will not his whole self take
Back with him, and life will pause.
Though presenting as mistake
Trials from life like this define
Who we are and how we make
Tribulations turn divine.
Friends and culture, language too,
He with them has self intwined,
And when he leaves he will be blue.
'Cause lashing strong as this will tug
Ripping out the part that to
Him he's tied these things so snug.
There that part will always stay.
Even though he tries to tug
Pulling it will not give way,
And back he'll go without his heart
Though he never longed to part.
